Viewing SAP Screen Element Identification Details

You can select each level of the captured SAP screen element’s hierarchy in the Screen Elements tree to display the details automatically detected by Real-Time Designer in the Identification tab.

To view the SAP screen element details:

1. Select the captured SAP screen element in the Screen Elements tree and click the Identification tab.

The screen element type is selected in the Screen Element Type drop-down list automatically.

The SAP connector enables you to identify SAP elements of the following types:

SAP GUI Component

SAP GUI Button

SAP GUI Text Field

SAP GUI Tree

SAP GUI Grid View

SAP GUI Label

SAP GUI Statusbar

SAP GUI Radio Button

SAP GUI Combo Box

SAP GUI Check Box

SAP GUI Tab Strip

SAP GUI Table

SAP GUI Tab

SAP GUI Column Tree

SAP GUI Frame Window

2. Click the Main Relation Type drop-down list to show the available relations types for the SAP screen element:

3. Select any required self properties in the Self properties section. The Self properties section lists the self-properties that can be used to uniquely identify the SAP screen element type. Real-Time Designer automatically selects the self-properties in the Used column that can optimally identify the screen element.

4. To specify that a SAP screen element has multiple instances, select Has multi instances . By default, Has multi instances is cleared when you capture a SAP physical object.
5. Select Keep recognizing for: to continue recognizing a SAP screen element for a set time interval after the parent screen element is initially launched (triggered). For more details, see Using the Identification Tab.

Viewing the SAP GUI Frame Window Screen Element Identification Details

To view the SAP GUI Frame Window screen element identification details:

1. Select the Window [<text>] screen element in the Screen Elements tree and click the Identification tab:

In the Screen Element Type drop-down list, the SAP GUI Frame Window type is identified automatically by Real-Time Designer:

2. Click the Main Relation Type drop-down list to show the available relations types for the SAP Window screen element:

I am SAP Window of: The screen element’s parent screen element that hosts the SAP Window in the hierarchy.

3. Select any required self properties in the Self properties section. Real-Time Designer automatically selects self-properties in the Used column that can optimally identify the screen element.

The following self-properties are available:

Window Text

Window SAP Id

Window Changeable

Window Icon Name

Connection String

Window Class Name

Connection Id

Session Id

4. To specify that the SAP Window screen element has multiple instances, select Has multi instances. By default, Has multi instances is cleared when you have captured an SAP physical object.
